About Us
Zhongyin (Ningbo) Battery Co., Ltd. is a joint venture formed by Gold Peak Industries (Holding) Ltd. and Ningbo Sonluk Battery Co., Ltd. Currently we are vice director and a standing member of China Battery Industrial Association. Our key subsidiaries include Ningbo Engineering and Technology Development Center of Chemical Power Source, Ningbo Battery & Electrical Appliance I/E Co., Ltd. and Ningbo Pairdeer Economy and Trading Co., Ltd.
The registered capital of the company is 15 million U.S. dollars, and the total investment amounts to 28 million U.S. dollars. We are a leading primary alkaline zinc-manganese battery and carbon-zinc battery manufacturer in China. The registered brand names are SONLUK, PAIRDEER and GOLDENBEE. In 2002 PAIRDEER primary alkaline battery was named China Top Brand by the national government authority concerned.
Our manufacture factory covers 56,000 m2 in land with a floorage of 41,000 m2. We have 21 assembly lines for the manufacture of alkaline batteries and carbon-zinc batteries, among which six assembly lines of LR20, LR14, LR6 and LR03 batteries were introduced from such countries as Japan and South Korea. The annual output of the alkaline batteries amounts to 500 million, and the total output of cells amounts to 700 million, whose quality has reached or exceed the level of the same sorts of the famous brand products.
Our company has a strong capability in the R&D of new battery products. There are more than 800 employees in our company, among whom R&D, QC, QA staffs and other professionals are over 200. We control so strictly the quality of materials as to meet the ISO9001 quality testing and to keep the GB/T7112-1998, IEC60086-2 standards. Our company implements the certificate system ISO9002 since 1997. In September 2002 our company successfully passed the audit of ISO9001:2000 quality management system and ISO14001:1996 environment management system conducted by the world-renowned Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and had the certificates issued. During the nationwide battery quality inspection in 2001 and 2002, the comprehensive performance of our LR20, LR14, LR6, LR03 alkaline batteries is the No.1.
